Market Continues to Boom: All in CARAVANING 2015 Comes to a Successful End with Good Trade Results

On 28 June, 2015, All in CARAVANING 2015 successfully concluded its 3-day exhibition, setting off a new round of caravaning fever in Beijing. Trade results proved to be outstanding.

Strong market made a grand event of unprecedented scale: A total of 294 exhibitors from 11 countries (China, Germany, the U.S., the UK, the Netherlands, Japan, Slovenia, Turkey, Italy, Belgium and Sweden) attended, sharply up by 60% against the last edition (183 exhibitors), presenting over 300 caravans at Beijing Exhibition Center. Global caravans had a great party in Beijing! "Since its inaugural edition in 2012, All in CARAVANING has been growing side by side with Chinese caravaning & camping industry, and has now become the most influential caravan show in China." said Mr. Axel Bartkus, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

In this scorching hot summer, the 3-day exhibition welcomed 11,507 enthusiastic visitors, a dramatic rise against last year. Many people took along their family members, indicating a growing popularity of caravaning as a family activity in China. More than 200 journalists from TV, video, Internet, newspapers, magazines and other major media outlets crowded the scene, seizing every chance to interview the organizers, exhibitors, visitors, and caravan owners. This extensive media coverage helped further promote a caravaning lifestyle and culture.

Both Exhibitor and Visitor Satisfaction Significantly Improved
On-site questionnaire survey showed a record 88% of exhibitor satisfaction. Most exhibitors were pleased with the impressively high visitor number and quality. End users and buyers were very professional. Exhibitors believed that All in CARAVANING helped them “strengthen customer relationship, generate new business leads, improve brand visibility and increase sales”. 96% of exhibitors expressed their willingness to return in next edition. “This time we come with Dethleffs and several other brands, and so far have signed contracts up to RMB 20 million. We will definitely be happy to attend All in CARAVANING every year in future.” smiled Mr. Lu Zhixiao, President of Daloo RV.

This year's All in CARAVANING also received high visitor satisfaction. An astonishing variety of exhibits, a complete spectrum of brands, and a very wide price range ensured best fulfillment of diversified customer needs. Some visitors bought their dream caravans on site, while many others showed great interest. Experts forecast a constantly rising consumer demand for caravans in China for the coming 1-3 years.

Record High Transaction Volume
Hazy days did not blur out exhibitors' happy faces. Roughly estimated, RV International, Hymer, Brillance Auto Group - Adria, Daloo RV - Dethleffs, Yutong Bus, Centech, Daide Longtree, Shandong Mountain Special RV, Live Zone Automobile(Great Wall RV), Dalian Hao Cheng, Tangshan Yate, Shanghai Shunlv, Nanjing Dexing and Neijiang Phoenix sold a number of caravans at the exhibition onsite. In particular, RV International signed LOI for about 50 camper vans and over 100 motor caravans. Daloo RV was very delighted for signing more than RMB 20 million contracts during the 3 exhibition days, with the first deal concluded as early as in stand construction phase. Hymer also achieved great results, with 8 caravans sold and 30 LOI signed. Brillance Auto Group received a large number of orders, saying that all orders would be forwarded to its local agencies for handling to ensure better after service. Daide Longtree captured a large order from an overseas buyer for 50 caravans. Great Wall RV had all of its display caravans sold out, and unfortunately missed several orders on site due to insufficient stock. In addition, Camp-let sold 60 camping tents, and Chengdu Yuanjing established contact with about 30 interested buyers. Other exhibitors who signed LOI for more than 50 caravans included Yutong Bus and North RV. Many exhibitors said that the positive signals and customer feedback from All in CARAVANING mattered much more than the transaction number, and that they would make good preparation for the upcoming rapid growth of the whole industry.

Annual Conference: Commercialization on Caravaning Just Around the Corner
As a major concurrent event, All in CARAVANING Annual Conference 2015 continued to speak the authoritative voice. "Campground Day", "E-Commerce Session" and "RV Day" sections covered the industry's current hot issues. For the first time, the Annual Conference was organized in the form of speech combined with dialogue, offering participants an unique opportunity to share knowledge and insights.

The "Campground Day", led by China National Tourism Administration, was attended by high-level representatives from fastest growing campground regions to share typical campground planning and showcase projects nationwide. Campground project owners and investors met and talked freely. Mr. Steven Wright, CEO of BIG4, an Australian camping resort, proposed solutions for Chinese campgrounds' dilemmas and pending issues such as profit model. "Campground Guide" - an informative guidebook co-produced by All in CARAVANING and "RV AND CAMPING" magazine for the Chinese Campground Experience Program - released its inaugural issue, providing useful, detailed information on 168 recommended campgrounds. The first campground map of China was also unveiled, presenting more detailed information on 227 campgrounds and 366 selected campgrounds to millions of camping enthusiasts.

The newly launched "E-Commerce Session" held on 27 June invited Tujia.com and ATZuche.com to talk about caravaning commercialization and round-the-clock service via mobile Internet. As leading travel and rental e-commerce operators in China, Tujia.com and ATZuche.com were selected by All in CARAVANING as the best e-commerce partners for their professional and strong marketing capability. Both of them vowed to further strengthen marketing efforts in the coming year to attract more people buying through their websites. Yunan Outdoor RV Camping Tourism Development Co., Ltd., together with McRent, the No.1 specialist for motorhome rental in Europe, shared their own rental business experience, analyzed the feasibility of caravan rental in China and discussed future challenges and possibilities.

The traditional "RV Day" was led by China Association of Automotive Manufacturers Recreational Vehicle Industry Committee (CMRV) this year. Over the past year, CMRV developed 45 special standards for caravan manufacturing. Hopefully, an authoritative set of industry standards was within reach.

Caravan Ambassadors and Opinion Leaders
"Chinese Caravaning & Camping Industry Opinion Leaders Union Conference" was a new component of the wonderful supporting program this year. 20 foresighted opinion leaders representing caravan manufacturing, campground construction and operations, caravan users and club members from 15 provinces nationwide had a historic meeting in Beijing to discuss most concerned issues and make their voices heard. They got special offer from North RV, Yutong Bus, Centech, Live Zone Automobile(Great Wall RV) and Daide Longtree (best price + RMB 5,000 ~ 100,000 coupons). Winners were grinning from ear to ear, saying that they would actively promote a caravaning life and pass on positive energy to more people.

Another highlight of this year's All in CARAVANING was the “China Caravan Ambassador” award ceremony. After three-month careful selection, this year's “China Caravan Ambassador” award went to Ms. Yang Bei, who returned from a caravaning adventure in Europe taking along 4 old people (all in their 70s)! As a good model for Chinese caravanners, Ms. Yang will fly to Germany this August to visit the world's No.1 caravaning event CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF 2015. Mr. Huang Yishan, whose favorite thing was caravaning with his mother, Mr. Gu Yuxin, a keen supporter of caravaning culture, and Mr. Wang Weimin, an enthusiastic advocator of driving caravans on highways, won the "Fashion Caravan Owner" award with attractive prizes sponsored by truma, Dibsat and atwood.

Results of the best caravan model of the year were released afterwards. 15 caravan brands won the title of "Chinese Caravan Brand of 2015".

Other funny activities also brought a lot of laughter and joy to the visitors. For example, the thrilling Carrera Racing Game was an ideal arena for speed and agility. "Caravan Handcraft DIY Contest " - an upgraded version of "Caravan Handpaint Contest" - offered kids the opportunity to show their drawing skills and explore their handcraft talents. The "Painted Face" organized by Dreamaker Drama Academy was also very popular. Happy kids walking around with elaborately painted faces left a deep impression to everyone at All in CARAVANING.

The 3-day exhibition has closed successfully. Both exhibitors and visitors are extremely satisfied, saying that All in CARAVANING is the most important caravaning & camping event in China that they definitely would not miss. All in CARAVANING perfectly interprets its mission to be the "Compass of China Caravaning & Camping Industry" and its new vision "Crossing, Consolidating, Specializing, Breaking ".
