Meeting Invitation | Accessing the European RV Market: Technical Compliance as the Key Factor

All in CARAVAING 2026 will take place from May 15 to 17,2026, at the Shougang Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing. Our long-standing partner, Mr. Tim Rüttgers — a technical expert from the Caravaning Industry Association (CIVD) — will once again join AIC to exchange insights and engage in discussions with all attendees. This year, his keynote presentation will offer even greater practical value. During the 90-minute session, he will provide a detailed deconstruction of core topics, including trends in RV spatial layouts, evolving customer expectations, upgrades to critical equipment, and regulatory requirements.

Europe's RV Market Insights:

Layouts, Customer Expectations, Equipment and Regulatory Requirements

Session Time: 15:00–16:30, May 15, 2026

Session Venue: Shougang Coke-side dedusting multifunction room

Guest Speaker

Mr. Tim Rüttgers

  • Caravanning Industry Association e.V. Technology and Environment
  • Member of the Advisory Board of DIN Standards Committee Sports Equipment, representing Camping and Caravanning
  • Chairman DIN Standards Committee "Recreational Vehicles"
  • Chairman CEN Working group "Technical and habitation requirements for Leisure Accommodation Vehicles"

In 2025, new RV registrations in Europe once again exceeded 200,000 units, with the total ownership surpassing 6 million vehicles. Germany, France, and the United Kingdom remained the three largest markets, while Eastern and Southern Europe saw rapid growth. Notably, the user profile is undergoing fundamental changes. Remote working has given rise to a demand for long-duration travel, making lightweight, multifunctional, and sustainable design the new benchmarks for product evaluation.

If you are considering bringing your products to the European market, this session is not to be missed. The greatest barrier to the European RV market is neither product design nor pricing, but technical compliance. A product developed with substantial effort could be held up during certification—or even face a recall risk for vehicles already sold—due to something as minor as the size of a ventilation opening, fading of a label, or the absence of a test report. Mr. Tim Rüttgers represents the organization that sets these compliance standards.

As one of AIC's international supporters, CIVD offers Chinese RV and component manufacturers this opportunity for technical exchange with a German expert. Should you have any questions, you can meet the German expert face‑to‑face during this session and receive the most authoritative answers. This is a rare opportunity with limited seats. Chinese RV and component manufacturers are cordially invited to register for the session.

*Consecutive interpretation services (Chinese–German / Chinese–English) will be provided during the session.
