New caravan registrations down at the start of the year, motor caravan sector up

The new registration figures for the caravaning industry show a divided picture at the start of the year: The caravan sector is unable to maintain the positive trend seen at the end of the previous year, recording a decline in new registrations for the second month in succession. 1,518 new registrations in February represent a drop of 6.9 percent compared to 2022. With a total of 2,398 units since the beginning of the year, the segment is down 6.1 percent from the previous year.

In contrast, the motor caravan segment can be pleased with a good annual start: with 5,379 new registrations in February, the segment topped the previous year’s result by 7.2 percent. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 9,371 new motor caravan registrations have been reported, representing an increase of 4.8 percent for this period.
